All these ‘new rockabilly’ girls who are turning up at shows and direspecting peoples cars make me mad. Sitting on/standing on/touching other peoples pride cars is not ok. We don’t roll out our cruisers so you can climb all over them.

And as for the whole ‘I got into this trend because I saw it on mad men/in a magazine last month ect’ shits me. I hate that people assume I cut my bettie bangs because katie perry and dita von chin did.

I love it for the kustom kulture, hot rods, rat rods, classic, muscle, rockabilly, fashion, elegance, community and history of it all. Not because its in right now.

You dont drive a giant old car every day to keep up with a ‘trend’. People come up to me in the streets, and at shows saying, ‘you’re that rockabilly girl who drives that big old car! My grandfather blah blah blah’. Thats why I love it. People are so passionate about it, its so easy to be consumed.

I think I need a new job, things are getting too hairy at work with the boss, and the whole situation sucks. I’m now ‘senior staff’, and I’m not even a year in. 9 people have come and go in the 9 months I’ve worked there. Two more finish this week.

LB and I are actually still together, shock horror. I think we kinda started going around together in early december. Weird.

Not much has been happening. Thinking about going on a few road trips as soon as a long weekend pops up. I love long road trips.

I’ve also been saving for another old car, mopar muscle? Yumyum.

Feel adequate about this post for now. How I have gained followers in my slackness is beyond me…maybe you all just like it when I shut up.

Also, I was with LB the other day, fixing my car.

We were both covered in grease, it was hot, and his dog kept dribbling on me. Was not feeling very lady like at all! I noticed LB was looking at me really oddly, but thought nothing of it.

I found out later that he was just really turned on by watching me stuffing around with my car. I found it a bit odd, considering I was sweaty and grubby and gross, but at the same time, it is really good, because watching him work on cars makes me pretty hot.

Basically, all we need to do is get covered in motor oil, and just run with it.

Also, something really scary happened. I drove home, totally wrecked. I do not condone drunk driving at all, in fact, I am quite ashamed to admit I got behind the wheel of a car even though I could’nt even walk. It was probably one of the dumbest things I’ve ever done, and I am amazed I didnt crash to be quite honest. Nott only could I have lost my license, I could have killed someone, and it is a totally shit idea to EVER do that.
